Trip to Liverpool

Hi everybody!!!


I would like to talk about the trip I took to Liverpool last Saturday.
This trip was organized by the university of Wolverhampton. The university also organize trip in other cities like Oxford or Stattford (Shakespear's town). It really worths to go with the university because it only costs 10£!

Concerning the city, Liverpool is one of the most important town in United Kingdom, it's the second exporters port in UK. Liverpool is also the European Capital of Culture in 2008 so there were a lot of exhibitions and free museum to visit.
Liverpool is also well-known because The Beatles began their career here. Indeed you can see statues and pictures of them everywhere in the city!!! You can also visit the Cavern club, the bar where they began to sing. There is a museum dedicate to them but the entry is quite expensive (8,5£ for students!!) 
            

 













 

  You can visit a lot of other museums like the Merseyside Maritime Museum in which you can learn more about Liverpool's history and activities.






Liverpool is also famous for the football club. There are two mains football teams in Liverpool: Everton FC and Liverpool FC. I went to Anfield, Liverpool FC's stadium and it was very impressive cause the stadium is very huge!

I really enjoyed Liverpool because it's a cosmopolitan town where you can visit a lot of different things and I hope I will visit other cities like that in UK!
